You are looking at a SURVIVOR. This is a 1973 Ford Bronco Explorer that has been lovingly driven by my father for over 37 years. He is only its second owner and has owned it since 1975. I've been a lot of hunting and snowskiing trips in this Bronco and I can tell you it is up to the task. He has decided that it is time to part with it and fund part of his retirement. The vehicle has been driven, so it is not a show truck, but with a little TLC it could be made to win prizes. This is the third paint-job on the Bronco, but the original color scheme has always been maintained. The truck has some rust-through on the floorboard on the passenger side, but a new pan was put in to make the floor solid. The rocker panels under the doors were also replaced because they were getting brittle. Other than that, no other rust issues exist on the vehicle of which my father or I are aware. When the factory radio quick working it was replaced with a cassette deck and rear speakers in 1991. The wires were routed between the headliner and the outside shell of the top. The top is removable, although it has never been removed. The engine was completely overhauled within the last five years and since the overhaul only about 7,500 miles have been put on the vehicle. The transmission and other compnents of the drivetrain are factory original. I'm not sure who hates parting with this truck more, me or my Dad, but its time that he makes room in his garage and puts the money in the bank. Own one of the first real SUVs, a legend in its own right!
