Vehicle Detail

1966 Lincoln Continental with 64,000 original miles, 462 big block, suicide doors, original paint, interior, engine and transmission. Paint needs some work but original paint will still shine and looks very good for age. Doors open and close with a click and line up perfectly. Door hinges do not rattle or move. Transmission has been rebuilt and car is mechanically sound. Steering box needs lower bushing replaced or whole unit rebuilt but does not affect driving other than wide tires sometimes like to follow the ruts in the pavement. Runs great, does not over heat, idles perfectly, not afraid to go anywhere in it. Brakes are brand new but it will need the power brake booster rebuilt as brakes are hard but still work fine. Tires and wheels are brand new at the cost of 2500 and have less than 200 miles on them and I have original steel wheels and roller tires to go with it. It will all be gone through if you would like to drive it home and plans are to install new carpet, clean up original interior with black accents to match new carpet and replace bottom of seats that need it, and just generally make it nicer. Have capabilities to paint and restore this vehicle but have to take care of customers first. Thought we might go gloss black slab sides and sunburst orange metallic from front to back over the top. Currently removing interior and putting in new carpet and working on window motors rebuilding or replacing them as needed. This is not a rust bucket. One small area on right front bumper section and one small area in battery box. Trunk is in very good condition and hood also. On Oct-24-12 at 21:33:57 PDT, seller added the following information: Likely will have front seat removed, new carpet installed, and seats put back in vehicle by end of auction. Any additional repairs or restoration you would like will be extra. Can send pics of rear seat and front seat but I would plan on them needing new seat covers though the foam is in very good shape. Rear seat has one spot of heat damage and front seat has several spots of heat damage and a few splits. Vehicle is for sale locally and auction can end at any time.
