This truck SOLD last week for $4,550 on Ebay but the buyer backed out because he could not come up with funds. Please don't bid unless you intend to follow through. I need this out of my garage by November 5, and have set the reserve very low to accommodate a guaranteed sale. Mint condition, extremely clean, verified 40,497 ACTUAL miles and counting--likely to be just over 40,500 by the time it sells. I purchased this truck from the original family of ownership and they gave me the full story. It was purchased in Boise, Idaho in 1963 and immediately customized with a full size cab-over camper (bed was removed). It was used as "grandpa's fishing truck" for several decades before being passed through the family. From what I understand it has never been out of the area. At 37K, the Slant 6 received a major overhaul. It was just serviced a few hundred miles ago and runs perfectly. The truck is still on it's second set of bias ply radials, which handle like, well... bias ply tires. No rust apart from some very minor surface oxidation on the undercarriage (see pics--most spots can literally be buffed off). Engine could use a good detailing, as could the interior, but it is still extremely clean the way it is. Truck has a 4 speed manual and sluggish gear ratio--making it great for around town, but impossible for interstate cruising. Paint is good, but truck appears to have been either resprayed or touched up once upon a time. There are a few very minor (buffable) scratches and nicks, a very small dent in the hood (almost not noticeable, see pic), and a few small dings under the bed on the lower/back part of the cab. The seat is in decent shape except for two small separations that are currently patched with duct tape (see pics). All pedals, handles and knobs show almost no wear. New custom wood flat bed installed recently. Frame was sanded and painted before new bed was installed (see pics). All gauges work well. Front bumper is OK, but would show much better if shimmed/straightened. The original owner's manual and many service records are included. Driver's side arm rest is melted on top (see pic) from ???, and gas cap fits loosely. Apart from that, it is as clean as they come. Bid with confidence.
