Vehicle Detail

You are looking at a professionally done, total restoration of a 1966 Rambler American. This car was restored to look like a 1964 Rambler Tarpon Prototype. In 1964 Rambler made a Tarpon prototype. The Tarpon was based on a Rambler American that was turned into a fastback. This car was taken to car shows all over the country and was well liked by almost everyone, but Rambler came out with the Marlin instead. In 1965 Rambler brought out the Marlin on the Classic body line instead of the Tarpon on the American body line. This car was a1966 Rambler American conv. with a 1966 Marlin roof, side glass and seats put into it.Drive train for this car is out of a 1967 Rambler American that had a 343-4 barrel, 4 speed, positive traction with 3: 52 gear ratio car. The drive train has 60239 miles on it. This car has new windshield, rugs, seats, dual alumacoat exhaust, brakes, brake and gas lines, ign wires, hoses, belts, starter and alternator. This Tarpon also has Scrambler like outside mirrors and a AMC AM,FM,8 track radio. This 1966 Tarpon Prototype is a one of a kind very dependable car which needless to say would be very fast because of motor, trans and rear end combination. Thank you for looking at this car. I truly believe that whoever gets this sharp car will not be disappointed with it
