1996 BMW 740iL Silver with Gray Leather Interior For Sale 1996 BMW 740IL I bought this car a few weeks ago to be used as a personal vehicle. I purchased it from a repossession sale. The car is beautiful but because of its issue I can not afford to keep it. The car continues to run hot after about 30 minutes. The motor runs strong and sounds perfect, the transmission shifts out smoothly but after about 30 minutes the temperature gauge starts to going up. I had a friend of mine who works on cars check it out. He said it was the head gasket and it would cost $1000 to fix. I can not afford this. The car is absolutely beautiful. It does have a few cosmetic issues but extremely minor for a 16 year old vehicle. In the pictures of the car I have stuck sticky arrows to dings and dents that can hardly be seen other wise. The front windshield has a crack in it that can't be seen in the pictures. The instrument cluster has missing pixels but you can make out that the car has over 215k miles on it. The front seats seat swicth cover is separating from the seats (this is seen in the pictures). The drivers side window will not go down. The pros are, Extremely nice body with great paint luster. The interior is premium leather and in super condition. I mean the interior is exceptionally nice. The wood grain is in excellent condition. The car has heated, memory, power seats, Power windows, power screen for rear windshield, BMW alloy honeycomb wheels with good tires, Power sunroof, cd changer in the trunk, am/fm radio under hidden wood grain, Cold AC, Hot Heat, Transmission shifts out smooth, Cruise control, Steering wheel with radio, phone and cruise controls on it, Trunk big enough for 4 sets of full size golf clubs, built in cellular phone in center console(LOL), original tool set in trunk compartment and BMW factory alarm. I have the clear title and repossession paper work that goes with the car. Please if you have any questions, just email me and I will answer at best that I can.
