For Sale: Estate Find. 1939 Ford Deluxe 4 Door Sedan in original vintage condition. The original fog lamps are still present. This car is a very solid original with some rust on the pan under the trunk lid and the extreme lower portion of the back fenders. This should be a fairly easy fix. The running boards are solid as is the rest of the car. Over 90 percent of the original body chrome is present with the exception of small chrome pieces on the front of the hood and the center piece of the grille. The car is not currently running but the Flathead V8 Engine appears to be in good condition and still has oil in the crankcase. The battery appears to have been new when the car was last parked. I believe this car was parked in the garage in 1984 (date last licensed) and it has remained there until now. The windshield glass pieces appear to be OK but the rest of the glass has some issues. The windshield opens from the bottom. The interior is Ok but will require a new headliner. The dashboard is missing. This is an item that will have to be obtained from other sources, but it can be found. Also included are the original hubcaps and the beauty rings for each wheel (not the spare), a new gas tank, new old stock master cylinder w/4 wheel cylinders and the vintage1939 Ford Service Data Handbook published by The Ford Motor Company. This is a great candidate for restoration or it would make a fantastic hot rod. Your choice. Thanks for looking. The car is sold for local pickup or the buyer to arrange for pickup.
