Vehicle Detail

2001 HONDA ODYSSEY MINIVAN LOADED + BRUNO POWER WHEELCHAIR WINCH ON BOARD This vehicle is being re-listed due to a deadbeat high bidder. Please, if you do not intend to purchase this vehicle, do not bid on it My mother-in-law has a rare spinal cord condition that has been deteriorating as she has aged. She uses a power wheelchair to get around and when getting around involves more than a block or so, she has transferred to the back seat of the van and then my father-in-law takes the power chair to the back of the van and using the Bruno, he winches the chair into the back of the van. Unfortunately, my mother-in-law recently fell and after her hospital stay has found that she cannot transfer to a vehicle without significant pain. As such, it was necessary for them to have a dropped floor van with ramp so she can ride in the van while in her chair. This situation evolved without warning. Otherwise, this mini-van would not be up for sale. My in-laws got this van from a Honda dealer where it was a lease turn in with about 42.000 miles on it. The Bruno winch model VSL-600 was then installed in the van. My father-in-law is a retired engineer and is very particular about maintaining the vehicle with regular oil changes etc. In fact, he just [800 miles ago], in preparation for winter, had a new set of tires installed. The van even has more than half a full tank of gas. There are very few options available from Honda that this vehicle does not have [all I can think of is a sunroof]. It has power sliding doors, rear air, homelink transmitter, etc. As soon as my in-laws purchased this van, the right rear seat went to a custom mobility facility and was redone with special graduated additional padding to better accommodate my mother-in-law's back pain . It was then reupholstered in a similar but not identical fabric. The outside of the vehicle has significant scratches and dings. This is especially so on the rear bumper which has gotten banged up by the power chair on numerous occasions. In addition, the left side of the rear bumper cover has been damaged and has had an amateur repair [see picture]. There are also a few small dents in the rear hatch, one in the hood, and a smooth dent in the drivers door. None of this affects how the vehicle performs. Inside, the vehicle could use a good cleaning [all I did was vacuum it out]. On the instrument panel, the light indicating that a door is ajar sometimes shows up for the rear hatch despite the fact that it is closed. Also, the maintenance light is on [various web sites explain how to turn this off] and from time to time, the check engine light goes on, but according to my father-in-law, nothing is amiss. If one does not want the Bruno winch, it can be easily removed by undoing 4 bolts and disconnecting an electrical connection. then, one can access the third seat which has had very little wear since the Bruno winch has prevented it from being opened since about 2005 If the plan is to use the Bruno winch, the power rotation on it has not worked for years. I believe that it is just a pin on the drive tube that is not engaging as the unit is designed to be used either with power rotation or rotated manually and the latter is how my father in law has used it. Please note that this is a no return sale. Any questions, please ask before bidding. I'm proud of my feedback rating and my twelve + years on eBay. It comes from mutually satisfying transactions and I want to keep it that way. Non-returnable deposit of $250 within 48 hours of auction close. Paypal may be used for deposit only. Payment in cash when the car is picked up. If the high bidder wishes to fly into Detroit Metropolitan Airport or Bishop International Airport [Flint] I can pick you up at the airport. If you need a temporary license plate to drive home we can go to a Secretary of State office near the airport so you can purchase same. If you need a temporary plate, make sure that you arrive when the Michigan Secretary of State offices are open [check their website for hours]. If by chance you plan on sending a commercial car hauler to pick up the car, the driver must be prepared to pay for the car in cash before it leaves the premises. One more thing: I've been burned lately by non-paying bidders. Please bid only if you intend to pay. If I do not receive full payment within seven days, I will file non-paying bidder action with eBay and will either offer the item to the underbidder or relist the item. I have no choice in this matter. I must do this or I have to pay eBay's commission on the sale even if it is not completed. Good luck bidding :)
