Vehicle Detail
1976 BMW R 75/6 A very nice classic airhead that is mechanically sound and runs as good as it was meant to. Cosmetics are good but definitely show its age since paint and the rest of bike is very original. A few replaced items such as, Handlebars, grips, cables, almost new Continental tires, etc. The bike has the obvious age related scratches, decal fading, and wears marks, some of which have been touched up over the years. However it is in excellent overall shape for its age. This bike is extremely solid and runs great. Everything functions correctly. We have gone over the bike carefully as described below and all indications point to a very well maintained motorcycle. The original owner’s manual, which is included, shows maintenance records by a BMW dealer for many of the years and indicates regular service and attention. We have included multiple pictures to show as accurately as possible the exact condition of the bike. The original dual seat has been recovered; the original tool box and some tools are present. There is an AGM Battery. Also a BMW Accessory outlet is added. Included are Krauser saddlebags with a Chrome luggage and parcel rack. The bags are in very good shape and he interior straps are all there. Bungee Buddies have been added. In September 2012 all the fluids and filters were replaced, and tune up including carburetor cleaning, new plugs, and plug caps. The cylinder heads have been modified to accept a dual plug configuration, enhancing performance using today’s gasoline products. Also a Dyna dual electronic ignition system is used, with 12 volt green Dyna coils There is an AGM Battery, There are no mechanical issues and the bike runs and handles like it is supposed to and has no leaks. The gas tank is clean and rust free, brakes are current and very good for this model.
