Vehicle Detail
1964 Ford FALCON FUTURA Convertible Built 289/302 Sprint Buckets & Console AT Low 58,800 Original Miles This car has just completed a 2 year, frame on, full professional restoration on its way to show standards. The custom interior has been finished with high quality top grade Ford Red vinyl & silver piping, Sprint Buckets & a 63 "space" console. All new custom & expensive Ford Red paint. Under the hood is a fresh built, vintage HP 289. Engine has less than 100 miles, loaded with vintage accessories such as rebuilt Holley 4V double pumper, vintage glass beaded Edelbrock Torker manifold, early style with actual twist, car has power steering, new dual exhaust & more. New convertible top, full power top works great, new tires & original 14" wheels with the rare knock off wire wheel covers. This car was a solid, vintage street build always garaged with no rust & low miles. I have photos showing the original factory chalk marks still on body under the rear bumper when removed. This car runs strong & sound great, very deep throaty with mild street cam. This was a factory V8 car, and if you are into original, the factory 260 V8 was put aside and can be included in sale. The engine used was a 1964 casting of 65(dated C5), HP 289 K Code type block with free flow heads, etc. I have photos showing the aluminum pistons and machine shop markings showing it was bored to a 302, and I would guess built at well over 300 HP. No expense was spared in the build. This car is not yet completed to full show standards, but is on its way. Please note I just installed the new trunk rubber moldings & until rubber settles in, flattens down, trunk edge sits a little high. Chromed tail light buckets included which I have not yet installed, original visors, etc. Note in the trunk the vintage and well kept checkered factory trunk pad (no rust at all underneath). This was a great car to start, and has been my dream to finish over the last several years. I must reluctantly sell some of my collection due to my wife's kitchen remodel.
