1986 BMW 325 VIN: WBAAB5403G9678525 Take this opportunity to bid on a fun, classic BMW which is fuel efficient by even today’s standards. The car is absolutely perfect for cruising around town or a daily driver given its 30 highway mpg and reliability record. This is a non-smoker car and the interior is in excellent condition other than the dash has a several cracks from the sun and the OBC display to the right of the radio does not work. The radio has been replaced with a Sony CD player that matches the factory lighting and overall tone of the dash. The Sony player also has an auxiliary input that is compatible with iPods, smart phones, etc. The car is rust free and the paint is in average condition with some typical rock chips on the front of the car and below the doors. The previous owner did have the doors, hood, and portions of the front fenders repainted to fix previous chips but that was several years ago. When looking very closely at the repainted portions, you can see the clear coat is starting to show signs of age but still in overall average condition. As far as maintenance, I am quite an E30 enthusiast and immediately checked every inch of this car when I took ownership. Below I have listed all the maintenance that has been performed on the car because of the BMW factory maintenance schedule or recommendations from BMW experts. Maintenance Details: - Timing belt, water pump, thermostat and all accessory belts were replaced last year. - All fluids have been flushed and replaced with full synthetics including oil, transmission, clutch, and rear differential. - Brake pads and rotors on all four wheels have been replaced in addition to the brake fluid being completely flushed and replaced. - Both the in-tank and external fuel pumps and filter have been replaced. Yes, this year of BMW 325 has two fuel pumps and makes for an ultra reliable fuel system. - All rubber in the engine compartment for the coolant, intake, fuel, and vacuum systems has been replaced if cracked or overly worn. - Emission related items that have been replaced include the oxygen sensor, distributor, rotor, and spark plugs. - The instrument cluster has been refurbished with new back lights, service indicator board batteries, and fresh odometer gears to ensure reliable operation for many years to come. Bidder Questions: I had question from a bidder today regarding the material of the interior and if it was really leather or vinyl. Here is my response: I am fairly sure the interior is leather because I think the e30s come with either cloth or leather and this is definitely not cloth. I have added some close up pictures of the driver’s seat to the photobucket library for everyone to see. The seats and headrest are constructed with solid material on the sides and perforated on the center. Also, the sides seem more “stretchy” if that’s any indication to materials or grade.
