Up for Sale today is my 1966 Ford Mustang convertible. I will start with a little history. I ( my husband and me ) purchased the vehicle in May of 2008 as a fix it up car for me to drive on weekends. We never intended it to be a show car, just something that I could drive without worrying about keeping it in perfect condition as show cars usually are. My husband never got around to getting it in running and driving condition. We drove it home that day in May of 2008 very carefully. The brakes are horrible. There is a knocking sound in the engine after the car is running for little while. The tires will need to be replaced. This year we did replace: the door panels the carpet the dashboard the front and rear seat covers the peice that holds the convertible top down that snaps on The Convertible top itself will have to be replaced, it is gone. The Paint on the car is decent but has some scratches and dings. With all this said, as you can see the car needs work but is in great shape if you spend a little money and some weekends working on it in the garage. As far as we know there is no rust or bondo anywhere on the car. It has smooth straight lines which is what attracted us to it in the beginning. Also, I have a book that the original owner gave me showing where it had a complete restoration in 1989, showing pictures, detailing what was done to it then. I will give you the book with the car. We have had it garage kept all the time we've had it as well as covered in the garage. I hope this details the car.
