I am selling this really nice 1973 Opel GT due to the fact that I have way too many cars. I shipped this GT in from California because I wanted a solid car to work on and restore at some poinrt in the future but after receiving it i realized that the car was so clean and original that it really does not need a restoration to enjoy. I cannot find any rust in the car other than some battery acid induced surface rust in the fron pan that can be cleaned up and sealed in a very short amount of time..The exterior paint looks to be all original up to the front end which looks to me that it was blended in around the front nose and driver's side. At some point it must have had a parking lot issue but it was minor as I cannot find any significant repairs at all. The paint even as old as it is has a very good shine to it and no real issues othe rthan some minor chips and normal age scratches...I wanted an original paint car to avoid accident issues that were covered up...There are some minor door dings on both sides of the car, hard to see but no dents...The glass and seals on this car are excellent....no leaks or driving noise ....You would be hard pressed to find a more solid GT ....The interior is in very original condition with a few splits in the seats and some normal carpet wear....the headline looks like new and is in awesome condition. The dash pad has no crakes in it but it is curling a bit on the handle area on the pass side...the radio is aftermarket and does not make a sound....It is a very clean original no excuse interior that could be improved but fine in it's current state.....The underside of the car is super clean and the floor pans are spotless...the suspension is squeak free and the steering is tight......The car runs very well with the Weber carb that it has....not sure what size it is but it fits right in with the original air filter...No smoking issues and the oil stays clean....Not a ton of power but it is very smooth and so is the automatic trans....this car will cruz on the interstate all day....Tires look fairly new and the brakes would pass any inspection....Car comes with the origianl California Title (Not pink slip)...If you are looking for a real nice original Opel GT then this is one you should look at ....I buy way too many cars and end up with way too many cars....I am sure that I am not alone in this ....but the cars I buy are good enough to guarantee that the next buyer is completely satisfied or I will buy it back less any shipping costs!
