I found this car listed in a local ad for sale. I had one when I was young and bought it with the intent of keeping and driving next summer. We removed it from the garage where it had sat, unused, since 1989 and brought it to my shop where we removed and cleaned gas tank and added fresh gas. Installed a new fuel pump and carburetor, complete tune up including points, plugs, rotor button, ignition cap and spark plug wires. Changed oil and filter. Serviced transmission with new fluid, filter and pan gasket and repaired trans line. Also replaced brake master cylinder ( had slight leak). We also put two tires on front. It has a/c but previous owner removed compressor and it is included. Also have original carb. It has aftermarket valve covers, original ones included. Wheels are 15", the original ones were 14", I do have original hubcaps and they are included. After servicing car started and ran great and I drove to local good guys car show for 2 days and displayed it. It has not been altered to my knowledge other than what I listed. The car runs and drives, starts up easily, transmission shifts properly thru gears and makes no unusual sounds. Engine sounds good, does not smoke and seems to be in good condition ( former owner replaced timing gears, have original). Rear end does not have any unusual noises. Prior owner purchased from original owner in 1979. Prior owner has done some amateur paint over the years. There is no major rust anywhere. frame is in good condition. I would drive anywhere but because of age and idle time of 23 or more years you may want to drive it locally before taking a long trip. I would consider trade for same era 2 door car that runs and is NOT a rust bucket. Really looking for a 69-70 ford galaxie with a sport roof and floor shift auto. May consider 53-55 ford truck in good condition. Sold as is. No bidders without a 10 or better rating without FIRST contacting me or your bid will be rejected.
