The BUY IT NOW bidder will receive free delivery from a shipper of my choice within California and or a shipping credit equal to that amount which will be credited back to you upon completion. (amount furnished upon request. Include your email address when using Contact Sellers link). All “MAKE OFFERS” from serious bidders will be considered however will not include any shipping credit. This is a low start, no reserve auction. I've just have too many projects going at my age and have really put this on the back burner so the first credible buyer gets the car. I think you'll find very few if any Pontiac Ventura's listed on eBay, so you might have to run price comparisons on the other GM models and “look a likes“ from this era against a Pontiac. GENERAL: Clean, non-salvage, clear title in hand. Licensed until 12-2012 and running strong. California smog exempt. NO RESERVE, start price is way under my restoration cost but high bid gets this car! HISTORY: Former owner had stripped the car of weight to sacrifice comfort for speed and power. He removed the carpets, Dynamat, A/C, heater, stereo, spare tire, door panels, passenger side kick panel, windshield motor and windshield wipers He also stated that in 2010 the then existing 350 c.i.d. engine was replaced with a rebuilt 400 c.i.d. 1968 Pontiac block bored .40 over. He also stated that he used this car as a driver so my guess is that it could have up to 7,500 miles on the rebuild. Speedometer however reads 66,775. Previous owner stated that it had a competition cam shaft, B&M transmission cooler, new 58 inch drive shaft, new universal u joints with a high performance heavy duty yoke rear end with 3.23 gears, and a large 10 bolt rear end. Also mentioned by the former owner is that the master cylinder was replaced with a new one plus new brakes (not inspected). Additionally a X (cross over) pipe Flowmaster exhaust system with turn down flows was installed. Car is and sounds wicked, lean and mean! Since my purchase in June 2011, the vehicle has been taken to a Paint and Body shop where the green paint and primer was stripped to the bare metal and new primer and GM “Huggin Orange” paint applied. Any needed body work was done. While there, these additional items were added: NEW Speedometer Cable, new Dynamat sound deadening, new carpets, new headliner, new door panels, new trunk, door and window weatherstrip, new glove box liner, new rear window trunk deck trim and new sun visors. In addition, a new Edelbrock manifold and intake gaskets, Edelbrock 1407 750 cfm carburetor, carburetor studs, valve covers, air cleaner, radiator cap, power steering hose and return line, thermostat housing, thermostat and gasket, carburetor bracket, coil, shift linkage, and gas cap were replaced. All locks and keys have been replaced to include ignition- you will get the only sets of Keys! WALKING THE UNIT: Sheet metal, floors, engine and power train are in good condition. Car is photogenic from all sides, front, rear and engine. All doors close tight, all body lines are clean. This car really stands out! Less than 150 miles on new GM “Huggin Orange” color. No body work needed. Motor runs with no ticks, knocks, or abnormal noises, does not smoke at all-no drips from the motor anywhere. Car drives straight, brakes straight, and shifts without effort. Car was been pretty much restored for my use and satisfaction. Future plans however did call for the addition of a sound system and perhaps some trick stuff to fill the dash holes. The radio had been removed along with the heater vents which should leave room. As mentioned, I had not decided how or if to design a sound system, gauges, computer links, GPS or other trick stuff on the dash or maybe just put in a radio or leave it as is and learn to sing. Was going to take the vehicle to Best Buy and see what the Geek Squad recommended but haven't got around to it. Has power steering and power brakes. I was told that the wheels are the original manufacture Pontiac 5-star chrome finish PMD Rally Wheels which appear in “like new” condition . (if true, I doubt that you'll find them on eBay or Craig's List.) The tires are P235/60R14 96S M+S on the front and P265/60R14 98S M+S on the back which gives this unit a very nice stance. Tires are B.F. Goodrich TA Radials. The front tires are in better shape than the rear tires. All lights and turn signals work. Car drives beautiful and straight. All glass is good with no cracks or scratches. Needs a windshield motor and windshield wipers if your going to drive it on rainy days or use some rain-away product like the former owner used. Both front and rear bumpers are in excellent condition as are the side mirrors. Heater has not been necessary but inexpensive cigarette lighter driven units are available. No A/C but it you don't want to sacrifice horse power for comfort, there are inexpensive portable units available on eBay that utilize and ice box which will keep you and your beer cold. TRIVAL STUFF: Dash cap has a tear on far right passenger side, you might want to repair or replace. Gear indicator in the dash window is not visible so one must fish for PNRD (not a big deal) There is a small hole in the passenger side rear tail light lens that you probably won't see in photo, however I will include a replacement unit with lens along with a 1972 Ventura operation manual in the trunk. On my “to do” list, the kick panels could use upholstery so I will include the already purchased material. Heat shield on the inside firewall is missing so I will also include that material. We are home most of the time and will be more than happy to arrange our schedule to be available at your convenience should you want to inspect the vehicle. I want you to feel free to ask me as many questions as you deem necessary even though and am not that mechanical minded. I will try and give you an answer to the best of my ability. Also, feel free to request whatever additional photo's you may desire. I will need your email address for the attachments. I wish to thank you in advance for your interest in my vehicle and I wish you the best with your bidding efforts. Remember, this is a NO RESERVE listing and the high bid takes her home.
