An all-electric car for driving around town for the fraction of the price of a Leaf, Focus, or Tesla. The Zenn is a neighborhood electric vehicle that looks like a miniature Honda Element (to me). Zenn is short for Zero Emissions, No Noise. This vehicle is a 2007 model, but was not purchased or driven until 2008. I am the first and only owner of the vehicle. It has less than 4500 miles on it, seats two, and has ample storage capacity. I will include battery warmers, which are already installed, four snow tires, one extension cord, and a decent quality backup battery charger. All seven batteries were just replaced and have been somewhat conditioned by me, so this car works well and is ready to go. Also, I have a re-programming kit that I used to change the maximum speed from 25 mph to 35 mph. You'd only need it if you wanted to change that or something else in the computer. It has never been in an accident, and its exterior is in good shape. No dings or dents. There have been minor repairs on the body due to manufacturing defects that surfaced a few years ago. Also, the current mileage is around 4379 right now, but I drive it every day about 5-10 miles. So that's why I listed it at 4500. It will be close to but less than that when you take ownership. I am deeply saddened to sell this vehicle, but I'm underemployed right now and need to let her go so I can support my family. They were installed late May 2012. Lastly, the minor repairs mentioned previously include the replacement of several body panels that had cracked, the replacement of the side mirrors that had fallen off, and the repair of the charging light in the dash. For this last repair, the dealer wasn't able to put the new charge light back where it belonged, so he added in a new one that is located in the front battery compartment. It works, but you have to pop the hood to check and see what it's indicating. The battery warmers are also in the front compartment, and several pieces of styrofoam help further insulate the front batteries. On Oct-04-12 at 13:32:13 PDT, seller added the following information: There is also a desulfator installed in the front compartment, which the dealer told me could be used to extend the range and life of all of the batteries by reducing the sulfation process. This is controversial, but I can pass on all the information I have, as well as what I experienced. You can keep it off or remove it if you don't want to use it. A full recharge of the batteries has generally used about 3-3.5 kWh of electricity, so by my records and calculations, with the electricity cost in my area, driving this car costs less than 5 cents per mile. With the current gas prices, this can be a big savings!On Oct-04-12 at 14:53:30 PDT, seller added the following information: Unfortunate update: due to Obama's visit to Madison, traffic and driving were a bit crazy. The car had a slight bump from another car and now has two cracks in the bumper. No drivability issues, was very minor, parking lot situation. So sorry! See picture.
