Up for bids is a 1974 Volkswagen Beetle I purchase in 1988 in Bountiful, Utah. Through the years this vehicle was shipped overseas and while living in Frankfurt, Germany in 1989 went through total off body restoration by a company called Paradise Kafer in Frankfurt, Germany. In the past 24 years I have owned this vehicle, it has been driven in average 2 to 3 times a year, for the most part has been in storage. The original body shell was replace with a 1968, fenders are fiberglass 2 1/2" wide, rear deck lid license plate area has been modify as well as front head lights and rear tail lights. Front and rear bumpers have been extended, Suspension has been lowered, Door handles shave off, doors have electric solenoids. Exterior color is white with pearl blue, when the Sun reflects against the vehicle it demands attention. The engine block was Rebuild by Foreign Machine in Salt Lake City, Utah is a stock 1600cc, originally had single weber carburator. Now it has dual weber carburators purchase February 1998, alternator was replaced March 2008, I just recently had the engine tune up, master cylinder and a wheel cylinder replaced August 2012. Interior Upholstery was performed by The Upholstery Mart Nashville, Tennessee. It features bucket seats newport white with graham rae blue inserts, 2 panel inserts in blue on back seat, door panels are all newport white, carpet is blue. Dash is fiberglass painted white with pearl blue with VDO gauges. Wheels and Tires where replace February 2007, Wheels 17" Incubus 509 Chrome, Tires Front 205/40R17 Nexen N3000, Rear 215/40R17 Nexen N3000. This is a great fun car and drives good.
