Vehicle Detail
1950 Ford Coupe, 350 engine, turbo 350 transmission, 9" ford rearend I bought car in April - put it together to run 2012 Hot Rod Power Tour. It has a 1978 Chevrolet 350 engine with 70,000 miles. I installed a high volume oil pump, new cloyes timing chain and gears, new fuel pump, water pump, 1 wire alternator. It has dual Flowmaster mufflers. It has a new 3-core aluminum radiator and overflow tank, a 3 inch speedway fan shroud, new u-joints, all new bearings, seals, brakes, holddowns, wheel cylinder on the 3:10 geared 9 inch ford rear. The car is lowered 3 inches all around. Rear has ladder bars with heim joints and shackles at the front for no binding. It has new speedway dual cell master cylinder and pedal assembly, proportioning valve, residual valves, brakelines, etc. It has a new Poly fuel tank, sending unit and fuel lines. The 350 transmission is shifted by a Lokar shifter with 16 inch tall handle. The dash board is an Omega gauge cluster with a Pioneer stereo with CD and usb port. The interior has sound deadener top, bottom, front and back covered with black, white and gray Mexican blankets and black carpet. It has Dodge neon bucket seats with 3 point seatbelts and a ford pickup console. The car came from Oklahoma years ago and still wears the flat black paint job and mustang magnum wheels from back then. I put on 195/65 - 14 radial tires. There is some rust in the rocker panels and lower front fenders and one trunk corner as typical of shoe box fords. Some dents in the roof where it was popped back up and some side windows (flat glass) have cracks (great patina that just can't be duplicated). We drove this on a 10 mile test drive and then headed to Detroit for the Power Tour. We done the whole long haul to Dallas/Fort Worth - a total of 3300 miles for the entire trip. Got 19 mpg highway/17 mpg local. I took it to the 1/8th mile drag strip a couple of weekends ago - 9.7 at 71 mph. This is your chance to purchase a car that was put together new from the headlight bulb to the taillight bulb. It is very roadworthy and I have the paperwork to prove it - not me just saying so. I am sure I am leaving something out so any questions, please call and ask. The reserve is less than the parts invested - no labor - we've done got that back already. 618/754-3631
