Vehicle Detail

The Sunbeam is being relisted because the winning bidder was a scammer. The transaction was terminated by Ebay. The pictures here don't show up too well, so I put them on photobucket.com Here's the link: http://s1269.photobucket.com/albums/jj600/xbr960/ This Sunbeam is actually a Series IVa, which has the full synchromesh transmission. The car runs and drives very nice. Everything works. All brake hydraulics rebuilt this season; new tires and new axle seals also. Very little rust. Solid original car. The rust you see on the rockers and front cowl is surface only. Rockers are as solid as can be. If you look at the very bottom of the drivers front fender you will see a small hole. Around the hole the sheet metal is very solid. Passenger front fender bottom is solid, just surface rust. Rear quarter dog legs: drivers side solid but has a small dent that can be seen in the pics; passenger side looks like it has had a small repair. The doors bottoms are very solid, seams are not swollen, just some surface rust. Lower valance, below front bumper, has seen one too many parking curbs, not at all rusted out, just wrinkled. All tops and covers come with the car. Engine runs smooth, stars easy and no carb issues. Transmission shifts smoothly and the clutch is solid. All gauges work as well as the wipers and blower. Windows crank up and down as they should. Hardtop plexiglass windows are foggy and crazed. The hardtop is structurally very solid, not rusted out where it meets the rear deck. Original headliner intact but old. Windshield, sorry to say, has a stone impact passenger side bottom. No trailing cracks from it in any direction. The body to windshield frame rubber seal is weathered. They are available. Door glass and windshield are very clear and not scratched up. Here are some resource links showing the current and potential value for this car. There are explanations for the different values based on condition. http://www.hagerty.com/valuationtools/HVT/VehicleSearch/Report?vc=1342808 http://www.nadaguides.com/Classic-Cars/1965/Sunbeam/Alpine-IV/2-Door-Sport-Roadster/Values
