1979 Corvette - frame is solid not pitted or rusted, originally from NC 76,600 miles showing on odometer but the rebuilt drive train including the motor has around 3000 miles on it. The original motor was replaced with a GM Performance ZZ4 350 crate motor with 10:1 compression and aluminum heads, 355 HP @ 5250 RPM, 405 ft/lbs TQ @ 3500 RPM Comp "Thumper" roller cam was installed. The idle sounds like 60's muscle car The 4 speed transmission and rear end have been professionally rebuilt The stock shifter was replaced with a Hurst Shifter & linkage kit The vacuum operated headlight system has been rebuilt and the lights open and close as they should. Headers and a custom dual exhaust with H-pipe, DYNO-MAX mufflers were installed Alpine AM/FM/CD radio with Ipod adapter was installed The brakes have been rebuilt including the parking brake New gas shocks, new Be-Cool aluminum direct fit radiator with dual electric cooling fans, new chrome alternator, new belts, hoses, Uniroyal tires, chrome rally wheels, power steering components and power steering pump, new OEM style steering wheel, MSD billet distributor, MSD ignition system, 8mm wires, GM performance valve covers, Optima Red Top Battery, new hood latches, new hood latch cable and hood latch release handle and cable, new heater core and hoses, Lloyds custom floor mats, T-top bags, new OEM style replacement seat belts with shoulder harness. The gauges all operate correctly except for the clock The power windows operate correctly The car has power door locks but they do not work at this time. All the interior lights work, the taillights and turn signals work. The windshield wipers work The car does not have A/C This Corvette is very dependable, the low milage motor starts right up everytime, steering is tight, brakes stop straight (no pulling to the side) The car gets a lot of compliments and is a lot of fun to drive with ZZ4 performance motor and a smooth shifting 4 speed. New "Torch Red" paint job that's nice and shiny but not show quality - I would say that it's a 10 footer The interior looks ok, in my opinion it's driver quality and should eventually be restored. This is not an "unmolested" numbers matching Corvette. It's a Corvette that has been modified for performance that now has nearly double the original HP. I have a lot of receipts for the work that has been done to the car. This is a car that you can just get in and drive and have fun with just the way it is. A custom car cover is also included with the car
