Vehicle Detail
This listing is for two 1962 Chrysler Imperials Crowns. One a convertible, the other a 2door hardtop. The convertible is one of only 524 made in 1962. The car runs, drives and stops but is not road worthy in its present condition. Car was originally Midnight blue with a white convertible top and Alabaster(off white) leather interior. Equipped with power steering, power brakes, power seat, radio, cruise control and power convertible top. Engine runs well, transmission works correctly, brakes stop, all power windows work. Did not check power seat. Glass in good condition. All convertible trim is there. Power top works correctly. Top is ripped. Side trim, bumpers, quarter moldings are missing but are all included on the Black 2 door. Taillights and lenses are excellent. Car is rusty in the floors, trunk and rockers. Frame is excellent, front clip is very good. Rust is all repairable with a reasonable amount of repair. Interior is all there and would work for a driver but not for a restoration. Car has clear Ohio title. The hardtop was purchased for a donor car for the convertible. The car is originally Black with red leather power steering, brakes, seat, windows, and air conditioning. Engines runs and starts very well. Transmission works correctly. Brakes work but left front brake drags. Car floors are rusty but salvageable . Trunk floor is rusty but will make an excellent pattern for a replacement. Frame is excellent. Rockers are fair. Fenders and quarters appear to be good with some previous accident damage. Did not attempt power windows or seat. Extra window motors come with the cars. Interior is rough but a great pattern for restoration. Car has clear South Carolina title. This restoration project, when done properly, will yield an extremely rare, very high dollar, eloquently beautiful luxury convertible. Once completed whether one or both these will be standout vehicles and command attention whether at shows or the marketplace. Remember auction is for both vehicles for one money. Cars start and run easily. Parking brakes work for shipment. Will aid in transportation arrangement and will help load. Will sell overseas.
