2002 Subaru Forester L. 5 speed, stick shift. I want to reemphasize that this is a stick shift, so you need to know how to drive a stick before you buy it. 124,000 miles and counting, tires have 50% threads left, good for another 30,000 miles. AC runs cold and heat is excellent. It has winter package that includes heated front seats heated side mirrors, front windshield deicer and anti-lock brakes. Know issues: Needs one quart of oil between regular oil changes. Engine check light is on. I purchased two new oxygen sensors (one goes before and another after the catalytic converter). The sensors are included in the sale and once you install them may solve this issue, if not it may also need a catalytic converter. If your city does not require emissions inspection, you don’t have to change the catalytic converter. There are several small dings/scratches around the car due to age, nothing excessive. We are the 2nd owner and purchased it from the original owner in 1st year of use (2002 itself). This is my wife’s primary car. It has never been in a major accident or required accident related repairs. Rear bumper driver side corner has scraps from a fender bender and we never repaired the scraped area, the fender bender was not big enough to cause any bumper damage. Over its life we have replaced battery, brake pads/rotors, spark plugs, clutch, belts, few bulbs and rear driver side wheel bearing. Battery was replaced in January 2010 with original Subaru battery. Nothing else has gone bad on it. Right now it does not need anything replaced other than what is described in 2nd paragraph. Last oil change was at the end of August, so you are good for another 3000 miles. EPA mpg ratings for this car are 19 city, 25 highway, this is pretty much what we get. The car comes with one remote and two keys. Car is available for test drive and inspection prior to auction end.
