The top is in need of repair. Although, it lets up and down mechanically OK, new lift cylinders will be needed to operate the top automatically. The canvas or fabric although painted is weathered & damaged over the rear window on each side. The top has no interior lining. The cars interior is in decent shape for a 1971 although, there are a few small tears. This car was purchased from my brother-in-law who lived in Miami in 1995. When I received the car it had top, body & rust damage to the rear quarter panels, interior floors. Since then, I garaged it and worked at repairing the Chevy as time permitted. The Chevy has bondo on the back quarter panels/other for repair. The interior floor has been non professionally repaired w/metal. A new master cylinder has been installed. I had some work done on the cooling system to make sure the it doesn't over heat. A compression test was done to make sure the engine didn't have issues. The power steering pump has a small leak that will require you to top off if sitting for long periods of time or repair. I haven't had any engine or transmission problems since I've owned the car. The Chevy has a fresh amateur black paint job w/ SS grill emblem & Halo lights. This Classic car with a little TLC could be someones dream car because of what it is.
