Vehicle Detail
2002 Chrysler 300M - 97535 milesInspected thru 9/12Low mileage for a 10 year old vehicle. This is a very comfortable car with a smooth ride.Runs well. Always maintained (regular oil changes etc)Interior is black leather with black carpet - clean - with normal wear and tear Leather is clean - no rips / tears - minor hole worn through the driver side floor mat from normal useAll interior electronics and controls are in good order, including:- CD/Cassette stereo - Sun roof is in good working condition - no leaks- All windows and door locks are in good working order- Steering wheel audio controls and cruise control- Front power/heated seats (driver and passenger)Four Goodyear Assurance Tripletread tires installed at 65800 miles with excellent remaining tread (80k mile warranty tires)Aftermarket alarm with remote door lock and truck opener - only one remote "key fob" Known issues:- I had this in the shop last week for the annual inspection, and to investigate the "check engine" light which has recently come onThe vehicle will need to have two of the tail light sockets replaced to pass inspection. - Check engine light is on. System reports "Overdrive Pressure Switch Stuck" error Mechanic indicated that this was a transmission problem.Called transmission shop - they indicated that it would need further diagnostics to determine problem - possible transmission rebuildI have twice experienced a problem where the vehicle, after being driven at highway speeds, does not shift smoothly between 2nd and 3rd gear. I assume these issues are related, but I have not investigated the transmission further.- One of the four tire pressure sensors works intermittently - "Rain Guard" on the passenger side front door is damaged- Both side view mirrors have been replaced with original 300M mirrors, but the remote mirror controls do not work This is a good car with a few issues. I am the third owner and I've had the car since 2007. This is my #2 car. I would keep the car if it didn't require additional investment to repair the rear tail lights and transmission issues. I just don't need to invest the money in my second car. This would be a great vehicle for the right buyer.
