Vehicle Detail
This auction is for one 1983 Chevrolet 1 Ton Crew Cab Dually, it has a 454ci Big Block motor that runs and a Turbo 400 automatic transmission. The truck has been sitting for about 8 years as I was going to completely restore it but that is just not in the cards for me anymore. It is a project for sure but could be very nice again, included with the truck are all the new parts I have for it which include a new style grill (1994), with new headlight assemblys, new parking lights, core support (already installed), all these parts are from the Chevrolet dealer not cheep knock off parts (over $1,000.00 invested) and new Bell Tech front lowered coil springs (2"). The truck has Bell Tech lowering spindels installed along with a 1" lowering spring, it has dual fuel tanks as well as dual battery set ups from the factory there is also an aftermarket rear power window. Lets face it it needs work but it has great bones, I have all the old front end factory parts and will include these with the truck also. This has been a California truck it's whole life so there is no rot, it has some surface rust but just where the paint has faded to nothing. The motor and trans would be great for a hot rod project or even a boat repower, the title is clean and in hand, no games. The truck would have to be picked up as I can not deliver, I would not recommend driving the truck becuse as I have stated it has been sitting and I would not be comfortable with the rubber brake lines etc. so plan on a setting up some sort of towing. Feel free to ask any questions and I will do my best to answer them, the truck is worth more in scrap than the starting bid (I checked) but I just could not bring myself to do that and am hoping someone here would like to bring her back to her glory. Thanks for looking and good luck if bidding. Payment could be made upon pick up of the truck in cash or use PayPal.On Sep-19-12 at 08:36:16 PDT, seller added the following information: This auction is for one 1983 Chevrolet 1 Ton Crew Cab Dually, it has a 454ci Big Block motor that runs and a Turbo 400 automatic transmission. Sept. 19, 2012 Okay allot of people have been asking about the Registration so here is the deal, the truck currently has a non-op on it so there will be no penelties and to bring it current (in California) the tags cost $247 for the year. I hope this answers all those questions, and just to sweetin up the deal I am going to include the 10' x 20' canopy it sits under........now how can you pass that up!!!
