Vehicle Detail
((NO RESERVE!)) The car is a 72' 350/Automatic and the original color was silver with black interior. It does have T-Tops, removable rear glass, and luggage rack. Odmeter reads 27,000 and the title says "exempt" (but I would guess that it is 127,000). Overall this is a nice looking car and is a driver. It runs and drives nice and turns a lot of heads but I am selling it as a "project" that will need restoration. From 5-10 feet away the car looks great but with a closer inspection it is obvious that the car has had a cheap paint job probably more than 10 years back and there is overspray where it shouldn't be, there is a couple area's where some fiberglass will need work (the worst is the lip damage on the pass. side fender) and overall the car will need paint. It will also need a bunch of new weather stripping, and rubber moldings to make it nice. (Most are brittle or have overspray). Mechanically the car is good. The original 350 was replaced with a tune-port 350- (probably early-mid 90's?) The underneath of the car looks really good and I can't see any rust worth mentioning. (It was a Colorado car). It does have the typical headlight/wiper vacuum problem- (They don't work). And the Tach also does not work. The Crager wheels and BFGoodrich tires are about 1 year old and have very little miles on them. The car does ride like a lumber-wagon, but from what I have been told; they all do, but it is possible that it needs new or improved shocks. The car was just in the shop about 2 weeks ago and had about $750 of front-end work done. The rest of the car was checked over and it is ready to go. The interior is nice. The seats are worn but the carpet and dash and everything looks nice. The radio is not the original. It also includes a new T-Top carrier, the original manual, car cover, and I also have a bunch of corvette books and rebuild manuals. Overall this would be a perfect car to restore while driving it! It still looks good and drives well. I am not a Corvette expert. I call it like I see it. This is a 40 year old car that needs restoration. It does have it's issues and needs some work. Also- I purchased the car with the Tune-Port motor allready in it. I'm sure there have been modifications to make it work. Please keep all of this in mind when bidding and if you are unsure about ANYTHING please ask questions. Besides the wiper/headlight problem the car could be driven long distance. (The windshield will be "Rainx'ed" for whoever buys the car). I would also be more than willing to help ship the car in any way possible. I will have clean & clear title in hand. Good Luck & Happy Bidding!! (REMEMBER)- THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION.
