Start Slideshow Stop Slideshow Next Image Previous Image The W114/W115 was introduced in North America in 1968, but with fewer engine choices than elsewhere. These models from the start had unique headlights, utilizing a sealed beam lamp instead of the H4 type used in the European models. Bumpers changed frequently and there were at least three different bumpers used over the production run in NA. For 1974 the bumpers grew significantly due to new DOT requirements.W114 models featured six-cylinder engines and were marketed as the 230, 250, and 280, while W115 models featured four-cylinder engines and were marketed as the 200, 220, 230, and 240. All were styled by Paul Bracq, featuring a three-box design. At the time, Mercedes marketed sedans in two size classes, with the W114/W115, positioned below the Mercedes-Benz S-Class. Beginning in 1968, Mercedes marketed their model range as New Generation Models, giving their ID plates the designation '/8' (due to their 1968 Launch year). Because they were the only truly new cars of the so-called 'New Generation' and because of the '/8' or 'slash eight' designation, W114 and W115 models ultimately received the German nickname Strich Acht, loosely translated into the English Slash Eight. The car you see here is a very original 1970 Mercedes Benz 250C Two Door Coupe is being sold at NO RESERVE that comes finished in white with black interior. This appears to be an all original car with no restoration ever being done to it. The paint on the car is in good, original condition with no major imperfections to note. There has been a new paint job applied in the last few years that is still in very good condition with no scratches, dings or bubbles to note. The front and rear bumpers are both in great condition as well as the rubber around them. No damage to the over riders or trim going around the car. Inside, the interior appears to be all original with no restoration ever being done. The seats are original and do show some splits in the seams. The worst being to the drivers side seat back. The seat bottoms are all in great condition with no major wear. There have been seat covers installed on both front seats. The dash does show some cracking but there is a replacement dash cover in the trunk. The replacement dash does not have any cracking and is in good, original condition. The steering wheel shows some cracking but the door panels are in good condition as well as the carpet which only shows minor wear from age. Under the hood, the inline six cylinder is very clean and shows no signs of damage. The engine compartment has been nicely detailed and shows well. Connected to the automatic transmission, the car is a joy to drive. This is an original A/C car and the compressor is still intact under the hood with belt attached. The wheels are in great condition with body matching Mercedes hub caps. They are wrapped with new Michelin radials tires that have good tread life all around. This is a great driving, original Mercedes that is rarely seen. Miles currently show 36,937 and the VIN number is 11402312002046. The car is being sold on a clean Missouri title. Payment Terms Payment must be made by Cashiers Check, Money Orders or Wire Transfers payable in US Dollars. A Refundable deposit in the amount of $500.00 must be received within Twenty-Four(24)hours of the auctions close either by Master Card, Visa or PayPal. The buyer has seven(7) days from close of auction to inspect the vehicle. If the vehicle is not to your liking within this seven day inspection period then your deposit will be refunded 100%. If an inspection or decision takes longer then seven days and you find the vehicle not to your liking, your deposit will be forfeited and the car will be relisted.
