I am not a frequent ebay user--it has been several years since my last auction--so please bear with me. I have a Tesla Model S reservations and this auction is for the right to configure and then purchase a Tesla Model S electric luxury sedan using my position in the reservation queue. My reservation number is in the low 1800s. This puts delivery in the November/December time-frame for the 85 KWh and 60 KWh battery packs and presumably the January time-frame for the 40 KWh battery pack. As other similar listings have pointed out, these estimates come from Tesla, so please note that I cannot guarantee the delivery date. My car has not yet been configured, and by winning this auction, you and I will confer so that you may select the specifications: exterior and interior color, options, battery pack size, every option that is available at Tesla's options page for non-Signature vehicles. This auction's cost is independent of the car's purchase price. That is, the price of the car, including the $5,000 deposit I made over two years ago to reserve this position, any California taxes, and any other fees are not included. Put simply, this auction is allowing you to purchase my place in line. The cost of the vehicle that you specify is then up to you. Once the auction is complete, we will need to work together to get your configuration locked in with Tesla and plan how you will take delivery of the vehicle. I expect that I will need to take delivery from Tesla and then sell the car to you. Also note that you will need to consult with your tax attorney or make the judgment yourself as to whether or not you qualify for the federal tax credit and California state tax credit having purchased from a private seller, even though I will only hold the car in my name momentarily. A deposit of $500 is due within 24 hours of auction close and full payment of your bid is due via cashiers check or wire transfer within 7 days of auction close. Meanwhile, you and I will discuss your Model S specification. Once the funds are transferred, I will give Tesla your specification. You will see similar auctions listed presently (and from which I have shamelessly copied some of this text, for which i apologize!) that provide some more detail about this car and how the reservation process has worked to date.
