All Original 30k mile 1936 Dodge LC Pickup Truck W/ Rare 20" High Clearance Wheels Here we have for sale an amazing opportunity to purchase a true piece of American automotive history, an all original running 30,000 mile 1936 Dodge 1/2 ton LC pickup truck with rare accessory 20" high clearance wheels. This truck is in exceptional original condition. The truck has amazing documented history in the great state of Nevada. It was bought brand new in 1936 at a Dodge dealer in Ely Nevada from the original family I was fortunate enough to buy the truck from. The family drove the truck in Ely for only two years when the father, who purchased the truck brand new, died and then the daughter inherited the truck in 1938 and drove it to Reno where she attended Univeristy of Nevada (UNR). She drove the truck until 1944 till she moved back to Ely with her family and drove the truck until 1949. She was even married in the truck when she moved back. The truck was serviced at the local Shell/Standard Oil service station with 26,722 miles in 1949 and then the family drove the truck into their garage when it sat covered up until it was brought back to Reno two years ago. This is when I bought it from the grandson, whose grandfather bought the truck new in Ely. All of the original service records are with the truck. Same as with the original owners manual and the original dealers warrenty documentation for 500, 1500, and 2,000 miles. Look at the pictures of those neat pieces! The truck runs like a top! It purs like a well oiled machine. The original numbers matching 218ci straight 6 cylinder engine/ 3 speed drivetrain remains in the truck. The engine maintains a constant 45lbs oil pressure and absolutely never even remotely gets hot. The truck has the original 6v ignition system with all of the original wiring. Everything is the whole entire truck works, the vacuum operated windshield wipers, horn, lights, dash lights, tail lights...everything. There was even an original Atlas fan belt under the seat, that I used when I purchased the truck. The exterior of the truck is very nice for being all original. Zero rust issues. The grille is in fantastic original condition, with the Dodge hood ornament all intact. The condition of the grille is steller for being original. I believe the blue paint was possibly re-done in the early 40's but I can not confirm, nor can the original family remember. The black fenders are original paint from 1936 and same with the rubber running boards. The paint is not perfect with scratches here and there. Wear from 76 years! There was a repair done to the passenger front fender. All the glass is original and intact in the truck. The really unique part about the truck was when it was purchased new, the family ordered the truck with rare accessory 20" high clearance wheels for the rough roads in Ely, Nevada back then. The wheels were powder coated black to match the original paint of the truck with matching cream pin striping. The hubcaps are all original to the truck. The tires were replaced with factory OEM style 6.00x20 US Royal brand. The brakes are hydrulic and have all been rebuilt. Who would of though Dodge had juice brakes three years before Ford did? The whole entire running gear is original and has never been removed or altered on the truck. The interior is beautiful as-well. the seat was professionally re-done to match identically to the original color and piping of the original cover. I still have the original seat cover that will go with the truck. The dash and gauges are all gorgeous. The gauges all work perfectly as they should. The steering is tight with no slop. The original water heated heater that was ordered as an option is still in perfect working order. It works great in the wintertime. There is even the original rubber Goodyear floor mat in the truck. The steering knob is even original to the truck. The steering wheel is practically new with no cracks or anything just minor wear. The truck box is in great condition. There is not even a dent in the bed floor. This truck just screams character. The paint has very minor rub-through where the drivers arm would rest on the door. People pay good money to recreate the look on this truck. The rear bumper is missing as the original intent for the truck was to haul a horse trailer in Ely. So there is a trailer hitch in place. With only 30,000 original miles, this truck has not seen much use hence the wonderful condition it is in. This has been my baby for two years and it absolutely kills me to see it go. I love this truck and if you see it in person and drive it, I am 100% positive you will too. I have a clean and clear Nevada title with the truck.
