Hello! You are viewing a 1965 Mercury Comet 2 door sedan. I believe it is a 404 car. This car was previously used as a drag car and is sold as a roller or project with no engine or transmission. What you see in the photos is what you'll get. The photos do a nice job of showing condition. It is missing bumpers and some trim and if you don't see it in the photos it doesn't come with the car. My "good" might be another persons "bad" so please keep this in mind when bidding. I want to be 100 percent honest and do not want to mislead anyone. The car looks nice, but a full restoration would be needed. It all depends on your intentions with the car. I think it's a solid car but does have rust starting in some of the usual places (rear upper wheel wells, bottoms of doors, etc.) Car has a clean Illinois title. I did my best to read the door tag, but could not see the color code, rear axle code or the transmission code. Body (62?) 2 door sedan bench, Color(?),Trim(32) Cameron cloth and vinyl med. blue and lt. blue met., Date (26H) August 26th, D.S.O. (42) St. Louis, Rear axle (?), Trans (?). The serial number is 5H11T505067. It breaks down to (5) Year 1965, (H) Assembly plant Lorain, (11) Body serial code 2 door sedan, (T) engine code 6 cylinder 200 cubic inches, 505067 so it was the 5066th car off the line (they started at 500001).
