Hello! I have a beautiful 1968 MBZ 230 "Heckflosse" sedan for sale. I am the second owner and have had this car since 1989. All original and well maintained vehicle from California. The car has been stored in a heated garage with my mechanic in Ravenna, Ohio for several years and now its time to let it go to someone who will give it the attention it so rightly deserves! Mechanically the car is in very good condition, but as its been in storage for several years it will need some work to get into tip top running condition. The engine had a complete top end rebuild and tune about 8 years ago and has been driven less than 100 miles since then. It has been started from time to time and all fluids are clean, topped up and show no leakage. Odometer reads 57000, but no idea if its turned over. Accelerator pump seems a bit sticky and needs adjusting or even better, a carb overhaul would put it in perfect order. Transmission is a 4 speed on the floor and very smooth. Brakes are new all around. Paint and body is good albeit original so it shows the wear of a 40+ year old car as expected with a few minor paint scratches and minor dents on the bumpers. Interior is in good to fair condition. All in all this car is an excellent example of one of the classic models from the late 60's. As a daily driver, it does not need a full restoration, but with some work it could easily be a show car. All original manuals, service records, registrations, keys included. May have the original tool kit as well, but not sure. The car was originally purchased and owned by pop artist Mel Ramos. I have the original registration bearing his signature and some correspondence about the cars history. Asking $5,500 and will consider all reasonable offers.
