Vehicle Detail

Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE 1939 Ford Standard Coupe: This is a solid car that I bought in 1989; it was a “Barn find” in Tennessee and hadn’t been on the road since the 50’s (Have old Tn. title). In fact, the Flathead V8 and 3 Speed Transmission started up and ran well. I had the car shipped home to Rhode Island the following weekend. I lifted the body from the Chassis and begin working on it. The body was in good shape (I later sealed it with POR-15) but the interior was dried out. Anyway, I removed the drive-train and sold it. I installed a Heidts IFS front Cross member and (Power) Rack & pinion steering. I installed an aftermarket kit that strengthened the X-member. I also bought an aftermarket kit to mount rear parallel leaf springs. I installed a Ford 9” Bronco (4:11 gears) rear-end and Moser axles (Same 4 ½” wheel lug pattern as the front Granada rotors). The tires are 15 inch (205/50 front & 255/70 rear). There is a 1970 Mustang (Non-power) master cylinder (1 inch bore) and an adjustable proportioning valve, plus a line-lock. I did cut the length of the brake pedal, so brake application takes a bit more pressure to apply. The 1970 Nova small block 350 Engine was completely rebuilt (Now 355), with flattop pistons, Roller Rockers, a 272 Crane cam, Performer Intake, 750 Holley Carburetor, Fenderwell Headers and Pertronix ignition. “I” did all the work except machining. The charging system consists of a one wire (New) 100 amp alternator. The Firewall is cut back 3 inches because I eventually wanted to install (But couldn’t locate) a 409. The battery is in the trunk with a Cut-off switch. The headliner is included but not installed. The Interior has VDO gauges, radio with CD player and a Buick Rivera (Red) tilt column, plus red bucket seats. There is a heater, but no a/c. The shift is on the column and it is connected to a TH350 transmission (Heavy Duty) and runs a 2000 stall converter. The mileage is 15,600. This car NEVER let me down, anywhere I went. I do have the hood (Excellent), side panels…. plus the inner fenders... and a few extra parts hanging around. Unfortunately on 3/15/12, I was stopped at a red-light behind a pick-up truck and a 22 year old girl (W/cell phone) slid into me. She dented the (Right side) back of my car and pushed the “Underneath Cross-bar” in, near the rear shackle mount, pushing against the fiberglass gas tank (So I removed it). The front has some slight damage (Fenders and part of the upper grille), some bodywork needs to be done (I don’t do bodywork). The Girl had crappy insurance coverage, so "I Didn’t make out”. I would rather redo the car (Mostly) myself, but I need shoulder and possible back surgery in the near future. To complicate things more, we have our home for sale. If my car doesn’t sell, I’ll put it in storage and repair it when I am able. I do have more photos. No trades will be considered and I’m not interested in selling overseas (Too many Scammers). Payment: $500.00 Non-refundable Deposit at end of auction by Pay-Pal.... Balance due in 48 hours, Wells Fargo Bank Check or Cash ONLY.
