According to a vin search this car originally had the 2.2L non-turbo engine. Car now has 213,000 miles and runs good, drives good, shifts good. Engine was just tuned and serviced by Driven Automative in Meridian (Toyota trained specialists). This has a 5 speed manual transmission and T-Tops. About the engine. Former owner told me that the original engine was replaced with a 1989 Toyota Celica 2.0 L engine with 89,000 miles. Driven Automotive confirmed with a serial number search, but MR2 experts swear that this is a 5F-SE 2.2L engine that was not available until 1991. Honestly, I do not know if the later model heads and accessories were installed on the older Celica engine or if this is actually a 2.2L engine that would have been original. Maybe somebody else out there can tell me. I have a lot of opinions, but remain uncertain how to advertise it honestly. The engine easy, runs good and has a lot of power. This is a 2 seat mid engined sports car by Toyota! Very sexy looks and sound. Body is in good condition. One small crease in the passenger door, no rust,and overall straight. Paint is okay but not perfect. Has Progressive Mags Overall interior is in good condtion. No radio/stereo, but scheduled to have one installed next week. Has a custom dual exhaust and it sounds great. T-tops seem in almost perfect condtion, no leaks. This is a very sexy little car that looks like a mini Ferrari.
