Excellent 1979 FJ 40. This project has been run through from all angles. It has been repaired and restored for use as a daily driver. Have all receipts to show work performed since I have owed the vehicle. Body is original paint exterior only rust spot on the entire vehicle is rear right bottom shown in picture. Interior is all clear of rust with a driver seat floor pan replaced along with the outer strip of the passenger floor pan. All window Glass good shape. Instrument panel and Dash all original and works well. Front seats original and work as expected, driver seat worn. Rear side seats were not in the rig when I purchased the FJ. Installed a fold and tumble seat in the aft compartment. Front Doors and mechanics all work well. Rear barn doors left side work as expected, right side must have been slightly torqued (closes fine just obvious misalignment). 2F engine with good compression and paperwork for follow up. Carburetor soaked in solvent for 3 days, cleaned and rebuilt. New choke cable. New Starter. New Cap, Rotor and Plugs. Timing recalibrated. New Clutch, Pressure Plate. Transmission rebuilt by Rocky Mountain Cruisers June 2012. less than 500 miles on the new tranny. New Exhaust and muffler - currently does not pass emissions if you live in a city or state that requires it. Smog pump is still in the FJ and will work, just needs a Catalytic Converter and a link to the smog pump. New shocks on front end. Vehicle aligned by Big-O-Tires summer 2011. New Tie rod ends. Slight play in the steering. Tires have great tread. For those of you that will notice the turn signals are from the earlier FJ 40 years.
