This rat rod has been fully customized from the ground up, including a custom frame. The frame was built out of 2x3 3/16 channel. Custom triangulated 4-link with panhard bar for extra strength and Aldan America adjustable coil over shocks. Suicide front end with 1930 Model A buggy spring. The axles are the originals from the Kb-5 1 1/2 ton flat bed, with original 20 inch split rims, and brand new 7.50-20 bias tires. The rear axle ratio is around 6.50. The engine was pulled from a 1974 Mercury Marquis. The motor was rebuilt in 1997 and only 20,000 had been put on it when we pulled it out. It remains completely stock internally, and only a 2 inch carb spacer Holley carb, and headers were added. Dual flowmaster 40 series exhaust. The transmission is from 1990 Ford F350, with a brand new clutch and balanced flywheel. Manual brakes and steering with original drum brakes and 1962 Ford F100 steering box. At the moment it only has one seat. Simple 3 gauge cluster with water temp, volts, and oil pressure. Autometer pro-comp 5 inch tach. International steering wheel and pedal assembly from f350. On Jul-08-12 at 06:33:12 PDT, seller added the following information: -Just wanted to add that we just drove it to a cruise-in yesterday and everything works great. The brake pedal is a little low. We believe it is in the rear brakes since the shoes were worn out. It's still driveable, but will need attention in the future. -The truck now has two homemade seats in it.
