CarFax - shows no accidents etc - the typical Benz Broken odometer issues are there - it is showing about 275,000 but us not working -- you can tell from the no crack dash and not very worn driver's seat is indicative of a well taken care of Mercedes - I would guess miles are under 300,000 -- They engine looks very clean and many parts replaced - transmission shifts as it should - It is a 30 y/o car - Car is being sold as is - This is a very nice Mercedes 300sd 1982 Model - when these first came out there was a waiting list - As older diesle Benzes go this is a nice one - interior is a 8 on a scale of 10 - no tears - a couple of small wholes (like a screw driver puncture) drivers seat bolster has a rub mark the size of a quarter - not bad at all -- NO CRACKS IN DASH at all -- wood is good - seat adjustment controls on two front seats could use replacing but both seats adjust - there is the original radio plus a Sony 10 Disc CD player in trunk - Sunroof works well - all windows work - new tires - hood was reshoot with factory looking paint in past - Sunroof is faded - and paint is a little faded - very presentable but not a show car paint job - NO Rust - no dents -- car drives well - I was told engine was rebuilt less than 10,000 miles ago and I am taking into shop to do the check up after rebuild -I do not have rebuild records - just an email from previous owner stating so- he worked for a trucking company in South Carolina - Tranny was done before also --- Nice ride Nice Car -- it is 30 years old but I would drive to Cali and back tomorrow - I will be adding photos and car is for sale locally - if you have fewer than 5 feedbacks ask before bidding -- a $500 due after bidding ends - 24 hours - payment 5 days -- pickup within 10 days - I will drive it to you for 50 cents per mile - I have an open South Carolina title on the car that I will sign over or I may get registered in Ga and I will transfer that title -- These are great appreciating cars - this is a safe car - I have had 2 daughter at age 18 total the Benzes I insisted they drive - they both walked away unhurt - One went over a cliff in a 1987 SDL and the other was broad sided while making a left turn - she walked away -- I insisted they drive Benzes because my sister was killed in a Sports car on her 18 the birthday - so - you want safety you got it -- -also Mercedes will come to you anywhere anytime you need them for roadside service - just spent $100 every 18 months at the dealer -- pretty neat deal - jump start - change tire or run out of gas - they come out for free - Contact me with questions -- hit buy now for a great deal -- or bid away - the reserve is low -- On Sep-01-12 at 12:21:03 PDT, seller added the following information:I am replacing the Harmonic Balancer - the shop said rebuild guy did not torque a bolt properly - that will be a from the dealer new part on the car - the engine compartment and engine are very clean - This is a nice driver - tweaker - the IRS will allow you to deduct 55 cents per mile for business driving - 50,000 miles per year gets you over a $25,000 tax free re-reimbursement from your business -
