Vehicle Detail

1998 Honda Civic DX "made to look like" a sweet "SI" Sports Injection Coupe This is a rare opportunity that doesn't come around very often to be able to buy a car that is already done this special. This 1998 Honda Civic DX Coupe was transformed into the highly desirable Sports Injection model. It was modified and upgraded with many high performance parts. This is nothing like your average Honda Civic! It has multiple upgrades that make it one spectacular looking sports car. To start with this red beauty no longer has the plain DX front clip. It was swapped with the front of a 2000 SI model to give it a much more aggressive look. It now has the blacked out top and bottom SI grills, fog lights, and brand new smoked out lenses. Inside the new lenses are the hyper blue high definition xenon headlights to make this one tough looking car at night. The trim and side view mirrors are no longer black. They were painted racing red to match the rest of the car just like the top of the line Sports Injection model appears. The front spoiler was added below the front bumper, and the suspension on this sweet red machine was lowered for maximum downdraft. The duraflex spyder wing on the rear deck lid creates down force to maintain a tight grip to the road to avoid losing control at higher speeds. The tail lights were darkened to match the rest of the car, and both the tail and brake lights are still very visible through the lenses. Along the sides of this cool sports car are a pair of black racing stripes to highlight the beautiful red paint done in basecoat clearcoat. This body is virtually laser straight as shown in the pictures. This car was never rusted, and the floors, trunk, undercarriage, and frame are in really good shape. The space saver spare tire and jack are still in place under the carpet inside the trunk. This car is set up to last for many years to come, as long as it is well taken care of. I did this car for the driver who wants to be proud of what they drive, and for the guy or girl who enjoys being the center of attention. The standard wheel covers that were on this car were upgraded to a nice set of lightweight alloy wheels with low profile tires. The tires have very nice tread to make this car stick to the road like glue. The interior was replaced with the much more desirable SI interior. The front bucket seats are in very good condition, as well as the rear seat that folds down for easy trunk access or storage space. The stock steering wheel was replaced with a genuine Sparco racing sport steering wheel for better handling and control. This wheel really feels great with your fingers wrapped around it. The yellow nitrous buttons on this sport wheel are non active, but does allow the new owner to have easy access to set this car up to run on N20. That will be left up to the new owner. The factory cassette player was upgraded to a brand new Kenwood high definition compact disc stereo with an MP3 player that has the AUX/USB port to easily adapt to any flash drive or Ipod in seconds. This enables you to download your favorite music off the internet and play it wherever you go! As for the performance of this sports car, the regular shifter has been replaced with a short throw gear shift for more responsive shifting. The clutch, clutch plate, throwout bearings, and the entire clutch assembly was all replaced less than a year ago. This newer D16 4 cylinder SOHC engine was completely re-built, and has less than 30,000 miles on it. To make this sweet red sports car handle like the SI model, new high performance headers were attached to a full exhaust with cold air intake, so the driver can really feel the power. The sound that comes from this exhaust system rumbles like music to your ears. A complimentary radar detector will be included with this auction in case the new owner happens to have a lead foot. A great deal of time, money, and effort was invested making this sports car what it is today. In my opinion, this is as close to a new car that you will find for this type of investment. If you always wanted one here is your prime opportunity to put yourself in the drivers seat relatively inexpensive. I tried to list everything I could think of when I wrote this description. If there is something else that you would like to know simply ask. I pride myself in answering every question in explicit detail with the utmost honesty. This cool little red sports car is being sold at "No Reserve" on a quick 5-day auction, and will sell to the highest bidder on Sunday evening at 5pm Pacific time, 7pm Central time, and 8pm Eastern time. Good Luck and Happy Bidding!!
