We have for sale a beautiful 1976 MGB Convertible in red with a tan top This original California car was purchased by its second owner in 1991 and has been garaged kept since that time. The body is in excellent shape having been repainted about 15 years ago and is virtually rust free. There are 148,000 miles on this car and according to the previous owner the engine was rebuilt at 125,000 miles. After putting a few hundred miles on this car I have no doubt this was rebuilt but we have no documentation of this rebuild. This car starts right up and runs smoother then cars 30 years newer. I have seen many cars from the 70's and unless they were show cars, none have been in as good of shape as this one. Mechanically everything works. Clutch is amazing and brakes stop it just fine. Tires appear to have plenty of tread left. The shocks are probably the weakest part of the car but it handles and corners great.The top is in excellent shape except for a tiny hole in the back plastic window. It is very small but is there. The interior is typical for a 36 year old car with some cracks and wear at normal areas. The exterior is amazing and having been painted 15 years ago any rust would have made its appearance by now. You can tell this car has been well taken care of its whole life. I am selling this car for a local non-profit agency that received it as a donation by a dear friend of the agency's. This donor is the second owner having bought the car in California and all information presented here is from observation and from her recollection of what all has been done with it. As with any used car this car is being offered for auction with absolutely no warranties. I have presented all information to the best of my knowledge and any omissions are accidental and not intended. I feel this is an incredible car for its age and if someone is in the market for an MGB this is one that would not disappoint.
