Vehicle Detail
1992 Miata in Sunburst Yellow (Special Factory Paint), 1 of 1515 produced, clean car fax, 1.6L, 16V engine, factory 5spd transmission, black cloth interior in excellent condition with no rips or tears, power steering, power brakes, factory air conditioning, factory am/fm/cass player(needs a cleaning to work better), drivers air bag, bucket seats, center console, tinted glass, 14" alloy "Daisy" wheels, tachometer, remote trunk release, intermittent wipers,, newer tires, newer battery, newer brakes,, less than 98,000 original miles on the car. Timing belt and water pump done at 64,000 miles.Maintained as needed over the years. Always adult owned, driven less than 5,000 miles a year since new, clean car fax, convertible top cover for when the top is down. Passenger side has had paint work done in the past, and there used to be a set of pinstripes and the ghost of where they were can be seen when you are up close. two areas on the drivers side (size of about 1/4 of a dime) are almost buffed through, most likely someone too aggressive with rubbing compound. Rest of paint is in nice shape and the car shows well with no dings or dents that I could find. Also the back plastic window(see attached pictures) of the softop is discolored (common issue with these cars) and should be replaced, new tops on Ebay go for around $200. Now, with that said, as you can see from my no nonsense description above, I am a tell it like it is type of guy, so no surprises when you come to see the car. Seeing it was a fair weather commuter, it is rust free and runs excellent. Just had the car tuned up, new plugs, new wires, new fuel filter. As for my reason for selling, first off know I was not planning to ever sell this car, but fix it up and keep it for myself as a mate for my wife's 94 Miata. I have an opportunity to purchase the building my business is located in, this was short notice by the landlord and I'm scrambling to sell my toys to come up with the cash to use as a down payment. I have PA title in hand (yes, in my name), I am not looking for any trades, nor am I willing to take any. Disclaimer: World wide shipping easily arranged at the end of the auction. Seller reserves the right to cancel any and all bids from those with negative feedback, or for those who's end user information cannot be verified, or those that have shown that they do not follow through with their bids. If you do not plan to honor your bid, or don't have the money to buy it now, don't bother to bid on it. Payment is by certified US funds only, and payment in full is due within 3 business days of close of auction. Due to the cars age, it is being sold as is. Have any questions, feel free to ask, as I have nothing to hide with this car. Also, for those that would like to view the car before bidding, feel free to email me with your contact information, and I will be more than happy to show it to you in person, or if you like, you can send an independent mechanic to inspect it before the end of the auction. With this said, good luck, and happy bidding. On Aug-31-12 at 07:14:12 PDT, seller added the following information: During a conversation about this car on Miata.net, someone asked me if the car does not show well. My response was as follows: "It actually shows quite well, I'm just under the firm belief that I like to hear "this is in much better shape than you described", than "this is not what you said it is". Allows me to sleep better at night." Again, I'm just fickle when it comes to telling it like it is, I would rather be a little harsh on the cars description, than to have someone buy from me and be disappointed.
