Vehicle Detail
This is a nice car and a FANTASTIC deal for someone out there. A friend of mine bought this car used a couple years ago to drive while he was in school. After he got it, he put around $8000 into routine repairs and maintenance, he also replaced several faulty parts. The ironic thing about it all was that he ended up living two blocks from campus and barely ever even used the car! He literally only put about JWOIWHNFOIWHOIW thousand miles on in the the 2 & 1/2 years he had it. When he graduated this past April, he moved home to Maine and didn't want to deal with driving or shipping the car up there. He left it here in Jackson, MS with me, and except for being moved across the driveway once or twice, it hasn't been used in four months. He called me the other day and told me just to sell it off, so here it is. Offered with NO RESERVE!!! The high bidder get the goods and someone will be taking this little VW home!! Classic Looks, and legendary German Engineering, all in a fuel-effecient package that gets about 38 miles to the gallon!! With fuel prices as high as they are, you can't afford NOT to drive a car like this one. Clean, clear title in hand. Never salvaged or wrecked. This car was Motor Trend Magazine's 1999 car of the year. Excellent structural safety features and airbags combine to give it very high National Highway Traffic Safety Administration crash test ratings with 4 out of five stars. This particular VW Bug only has 104 Thousand Miles on it, which is nothing for a VW, and it has been well maintained and cared for with regular oil changes, fluid checks, and frequent preventative maintenance. Here is a partial list of the repairs and maintenance done over the past two years: * New Head Gasket. Replaced. * New front and rear brake pads, complete system overhaul. * New Right Rear Brake Caliper. Replaced. * New Belts. Replaced. * New Window Regulators. Replaced. * New CV Joints. Replaced. * New Tires. Full Set. Replaced. * New Radiator. Replaced. * New AC Condenser. Replaced * New AC Compressor. Replaced. * New Water Pump. Replaced at 99885 Miles. * New Timing Belt. Replaced. * New Thermostat. Replaced. * New Spark Plugs. Replaced. * New Spark Plug Cables. Replaced. * New Air Filter. Replaced at 100313 Miles. * New Fuel Filter. Replaced at 100313 Miles. * New Oil Filter. Replaced at 100313 Miles. * Power Steering Fluid Changed at 101200 Miles. * Starter. Serviced at 101200 Miles. * Only Genuine OEM parts were used for repairs. Not only that, but this car comes with several hundred dollars worth of extra maintenance parts. * Control Arm complete rebuild kit. Uninstalled * Sway Bar Bushing. Uninstalled. * Strut Mount Bushings. Uninstalled. * All this is in addition to regular oil changes ever other month. You can see how meticulously this car has been taken care of. Any other car you are looking at has probably not had this kind of care, or maintenance. And if you buy one of those, the $8000 that my friend spent over the past two and a half years would be coming out of YOUR pocket! Once you have put that kind of money into fixing and repairing a car, you honestly could have almost bought a new one... or at the very least a much newer one. His loss is your gain. However, this car does have a few minor issues, which in the spirit of honesty and full disclosure you should be aware of. * The paint on the hood has flecked up and peeled in areas. This is merely a cosmetic issue since the hood is made from aluminum and therefore will not rust. * The seal on the waterpump is faulty and currently will not hold coolant. This seal is only a few bucks, and could be replaced by anyone with basic mechanic skills. It can still be lot driven short distances, for instance, up on your trailer to take it home. * The AC system has not been recharged with FREON since the condenser and compressor were replaced last winter. It was cold, he didn't need the AC, and just never got around to it. * The hubcaps were stolen, so right now it is just brand new tires on the factory steel rims. * The battery is run down from it sitting so long, so it will need a jump to drive it up on your trailer. * Interior is nice, but the headliner cloth sags a bit, and there is normal wear and tear on the upholstery. * This car is has a four cylinder engine, with a Five-Speed Manual Transmission. The engine just purrs, and the transmission is smooth and shifts crisply. All power options work, the lights all work, it has a 6-disc CD changer in the back. AM/ FM Radio, Heat & AC. This is a great car for anyone on a budget who need cheap and reliable transportation, or for a mechanically minded individual who can fix the minor issues and flip it for a nice profit. Please email me with any and all questions, I have the clear title in hand, ready to sign over to the buyer. Payment due in cash on pick-up.
