For sale a 1964 Mercury 2dr H/T Comet Gasser project. I bought this car to build a Gasser/AF/X clone. I have since bought another one that is 75% done and no longer need this one. Previous owner started the build long ago, and installed the ford Econoline straight axle. It has a partially disassembled 351 Cleavland 2brl engine and whats called a baby C-6 and a nine inch rear (gear unknown) heads and aftermarket 4brl manifold are in the trunk. Interior was partially stripped by previous owner, as he was going to make it a drag racer only. Main body is in fairly good shape, with one rust hole in left rear quarter due to pack rat nest. Easy fix. Floor boards have rust thru on right side, but frame rails and rockers are good. I was not concerned about this as i was going to install heavy duty weld in frame connectors. Hood has bondo in it, but it comes with a spare. (i was going to use a Crites fiberglass one) Interested contact me via craigslist, due to jerks i no longer list my phone # These are hard cars to come by and make a great AF/X/gasser clone. Crites makes fiberglass hoods, fenders, doors and trunk lid, plus a host of other parts, including kits to go big block. I have described the car to the best of my ability, look at the pictures, ask questions. Car is available for inspection by appointment. Car has clean Arizona title and registration in my name.
