Great project car, or use it for parts. Engine threw a rod through the front of the block without showing any obvious signs of stress or problems while merging onto the highway last summer. I've held on to the car in hopes of swapping the engine, but I've got too many other obligations with work and everything else. The head should be fine, and all bolt-ons (alternator, water pump, power steering, air conditioner, injection pump) were all working fine up until the failure. The car is sitting on factory wheels, nothing-special tires, Rokkor coilovers, and (as of the accident) freshly replaced bushings. Modifications under the hood include flashed ECU (custom-made by kermatdi.,) PP764 7-hole nozzles (professionally installed/balanced/pop-tested by kermatdi,) vnt17 (pd150 turbo,) 3-bar MAP sensor, eurojet FMIC, upgraded oil/coolant heat exchanger, audi TT shift linkage, upgraded turbo inlet pipe (OMI for those who know,) intake manifold test-pipe (prevents clogging,) battery relocation to the trunk (with 0-gauge wiring,) and a washable oil-free cone air filter (i believe it was made by amsoil...) Exterior condition is good. The front bumper is loose (from having to be towed while lowered,) but I've left it that way anticipating needing subsequent tows. There's some dings and dents, but nothing too catastrophic. The images posted were taken just this afternoon. Exterior modifications include a GLI style spoiler (painted,) tinted signals, projector headlights (not HID) and some aftermarket smoked tail lights (If i still have the originals, i'll include them.) The interior is in fair shape, it mainly is in need of a good cleaning or even detailing. The stereo and speakers have been removed. The trunk mat is missing (a leaky jug of diesel kleen ate it years ago,) the lid of the center console arm-rest is broken but included, there's likely some other minor gribbles, but it's mostly just dirty. Modifications to the interior of the car include an ECSTuning sunroof operation panel with audi-style red opera lighting, B&M Short-Shifter, and an exceedingly rare interior/exterior thermometer installed where the traction control button goes in the GTI (this car is NOT equipped with traction control.)
