Relisting thanks to an air breather bidder 1969 Dodge Dart GTS 340 4 speed all original matching numbers drive train, this car was brought from San Diego California were it lived most of its life,it is a very clean solid and is a great driving car, I bought it with a knock which turned out to be a flat cam lobe, engine was torn down and inspected by local machine shop crank was polished new bearings, oil pump, stock cam and timing set were installed, heads had new springs and seals installed and the valves were touched up as were the seats heads had been worked on before, carb is rebuilt as is the orig. dual point dist. numbers matching 4speed tranny has been gone threw and shifts like new, clutch was replaced and flywheel resurfaced, drive shaft was rebalanced and new dana spicer u joints installed, exhaust is new front to back with tti stainless tips, fuel tank is new, rear end is orig. 3.55 sure grip, brakes work good, front end has had new upper ball joints installed and recent alignment,seats were recovered and carpet replaced many years ago so no build sheet was found but orig data plate is intact orig radio is in place and car has clean Mn. title in my name, this would be great car restored or just drive it as is, the paint is thin in places as I would say 60% is orig. factory paint but it has a nice patina look to it, the black vinyl roof is long gone and flat black primer is what is on it now, the trunk is super solid and comes with one orig. wheel and the orig. jack, car is sold as is were is I would not be afraid to drive this car anywere across country,$500.00 non refundable deposit balance due in 24 hrs, car can be seen by appointment, if you have a score of less than 10 you must ask before bidding or I will remove your bid I am sick and tired of people bidding with no intent of following threw with the purchase, car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction early thanks for looking please email with any ? On Aug-05-12 at 14:07:16 PDT, seller added the following information: I have had a number of ? about the history of the car, the GTS was sold new in Penn. was their briefly and made its way to california the first owner then sold it around 71 and the second owner had the car up until around a year ago, third owner bought it fixed a few things and tuned it up he then drove it a couple of days and then it developed a noise, I bought it as is and tore the engine down to find an all orig. motor with one flat cam lobe, I would have to say that compared to most 340 powered mopars especially 4speed ones that this GTS has led somewhat of any easy life thanks for looking.
