NO RESERVE! 1998 Saleen XP6 Ford Explorer #35 (SOHC 4.0-liter V-6 engine & four-wheel-drive). The Saleen XP6 is identical in appearance and upgrades to the Saleen XP8 except for the engine, the later was equipped with a 5.0-liter V-8 engine. It is estimated that only 10 XP6 Explorers were manufactured, while 125 XP8 Explorers were manufactured. When I purchased the vehicle it had 74,000 miles and the only maintenance it required at that time was a radiator flush, coolant change, and new thermostat. I changed the oil every 5000 miles. The sparkplugs were changed at 85,000 miles. New front rotors and brake pads were installed at 95,000 miles. I have not experienced any mechanical issues with the engine, transmission, transfer case, or differential. The vehicle was my daily driver and has experienced normal wear and tear, the interior is grey and the leather seats are all in excellent condition, the carpet is light grey and stained, therefore should be replaced. The vehicle is in good condition over all, it will need the following repairs to make its condition excellent: · The catalytic converters were stolen and replaced by test pipes (resulting in a check engine light). · The front bumper has a small crack (the previous owner attempted to repair hence the primer). · The tires (255/55/18) need replacing as there is a vibration apparent at speeds above 65 MPH. · The 18” Saleen magnesium wheels painted by the previous owner are peeling need refinishing. · The shift indicator (PNR123) doesn’t indicate the gear the vehicle is in (shifter is fully functional). · The passenger’s side Saleen carbon fiber mirror was replaced with a regular mirror. · The driver’s side Saleen carbon fiber mirror is faded by exposure to sunlight. · The stock radio is functioning but the LCD display does not show the radio station or time. · The air conditioner works when the vehicle is driven but not when the vehicle is idling.
