Vehicle Detail
This is a great running classic! All it needs is paint to be 100%. I've spent nearly $5000 over the past three years on this all-original 442. This car has swivel bucket front seats which have been recently recovered and work well. It has the original 350 engine and 3-speed automatic transmission. It runs and drives well and is very road-worthy.Key updates:- Newer tires, shocks, brakes- Exhaust work including new mufflers - New front seat covers, carpet- New door seals, trunk seal, window felt, hood insulation not installed but included with the car- New 442 graphics/stencils for re-paintI have been preparing the car for paint, which is why some trim is removed in the pictures. All trim is complete and included with the car. The car is being sold as is, where is with no warranty written or implied. It is your responsibility to make arrangements to pick up or ship. Let me know if you would like to arrange an on-site inspection. I WILL NOT NEGOTIATE THE PRICE AFTER THE AUCTION HAS ENDED (YOU WILL PAY WHAT YOU BID). WINNING BIDDER MUST MAKE A DEPOSIT OF $250 VIA PAYPAL WITHIN 24 HRS AFTER THE AUCTION ENDS (NO EXCEPTIONS) AND PAID IN FULL WITHIN 7 DAYS. CAR IS FOR SALE LOCALLY AND LISTING MAY BE REMOVED EARLY IF IT SELLS.On Aug-20-12 at 15:41:42 PDT, seller added the following information: Additional Info: Several people have asked about the condition of the dash. There are no cracks in the dash, but the ends are curled up around the speaker panels (see additional pictures). The filler panel between the rear quarter panel and bumper rotted away. I have replacement pieces (the one on the passenger side is installed; driver side is not) The A/C does not work but all of the components are in place. I replaced the radio with a period correct unit and installed new speakers. The radio comes on but does not make sound. I read an article that said these older car radios used 8-10 ohm speakers and that new car speakers are typically 4 ohms. Maybe the problem, I'm not sure. Also, I forgot to mention that I replaced the original radiator with a new copper/brass unit (not one of the cheap-o aluminum radiators) that cost over $200. Any other questions, please feel free to email me.
