Vehicle Detail
Step into an American Classic!!! If you are into Americana then this 1989 Ford Country Squire LX is for YOU!!! This is the ultimate heavy-metal Detroit made American machine. Made to last, made to cruise and made to make the scene. Take it to cruise night and be the envy of everyone around you. This is a modern day Woody. The wood paneling looks great all around. The paint is good with great shine. No clearcoat checking. Long before the minivan came on the scene, beach bums and Beaver Cleaver's mom June had a different way to get to the beach on time. The Ford Country Squire! There isn't a baby boomer alive that hasn't ridden in a Country Squire at one time or another. These land yachts could carry up tp 8 passengers with plenty of room for all their luggage, surfboards and picnic tables up on the roof rack. The passenger compartment is like your living room, A sunk-in couch so comfortable that you and all your friends will want to make a night of it at the drive-in theater with all your favorite girlfriends. This LX version(the most upgraded model with every option available for this year) is totally cool with 100% electric options. You name it, they put power to it, including the rear window and antenna. This classic is in a word... BEAUTIFUL!!! And it is near perfect in showroom condition. Everything works from the courtesy lights on the doors and interior roof to the courtesy light in the engine compartment. The interior is perfect with no rips, tears or stainfs. Exterior body is nice, paint is nice and it is original. The dash does have some cracks on it(see video). What dash from 23 years ago does not as they used that compressed plastic over foam. There is a nice dash mat to cover it with. It was one famliy owned. Aunt bought it brand new in 1989. When she no longer drive, nephew received it in 2010. She was the only owner from 1989 to 2010. She loved the wagon and it shows in the condition that it was kept in. It is all original. It has A/C and most likely will need a recharge to blow cold. The whiteside wall tires have great tread, Bridgestones all the way around. I could go on endlessly decribing this American icon but I will let the videos do the talking. Was intending to keep this one to cruise around in but just received my sons bill for his braces so this one has to go. So, I will sell this American cruiser for NO RESERVE. With all my auctions, a few rules. First, NO PAYPAL. Second, any and all bidders with less than 10 feedback and/or negative feedback need to contact me prior bidding, not after with their name and phone number or your bid will be cancelled and your user id block from addtional bidding. Third, you are bidding to own, not look and make excuses. Once the auction is over, you are the new owner. Any and all inspections welcome during the auction not after. Please have all funds ready to purchase this fine wagon. Also selling in AS-IS, Where-Is condition with no warranties, expressed or implied. Seller has represented vehicle to the best of his knowledge and also makes no warranties as to anything that is unknown to him. Vehicle is also advertised locally and seller reserves right to end auction early and cancel any and all bids if sold outside of ebay. Winning bidder needs to contact seller within 24 hours of auctions end. With a great Henry Ford, "yee haw", let the auction begin on this fine American classic. Clean CARFAX. Email if you want to see it. On Aug-16-12 at 12:19:10 PDT, seller added the following information: Hello and thanks for all the kind comments on this "modern day woody". For all you purist, the original am/fm cassette is included in the sale. You can see a photo of it with the original owner's manual and data card. That's it sitting at the top of the photo in the left corner. The seats do not sag, the carpet is clean and the window to the tailgate works by key or switch. Thanks again and good luck to everyone.
