UP FOR SALE IS MY OWN PERSONAL FIAT 124 SPYDER IN UNMOLESTED ORIGINAL CONDITION GREAT SOLID BODY WITH NO ACCIDENTS OR RUST I bought this California car from the original owner, via an online auction service a few months ago. This car is titled, registered and insured in my name, the reason for buying was to make a 124 Spyder Rally car for partaking in Classic Car Tours, such as the Colorado Grand, the CA Mille Miglia, etc. The car is totally original and has wonderful mechanicals, the engine has lots of power, enough to spin the wheels in second gear, and the gearbox cannot be beaten even on really fast up and downshifts. The original interior is excellent, save for some wear on the center console, dash and seats as well as the door panels are excellent, the top is the orginal, there is a slight tear on the back passenger side, it still fits snuggly and is weather proof. As a California car from new, the body and chassis are 100% solid, rust and accident free, even in the notorious spare wheel well, and inner fenders. There are some minor imperfections as you would expect, the car has all original paint in the door jams, engine and trunk compartments, the exterior was repainted at one time, in the original colour, and is holding up well. All in all this genuinely honest, reliable car which gives lots fun and pleasure to drive. These early slim chrome bumper cars are getting rarer and rarer to find, and have recently been increasing in value, and are the ones to own, the later cars are cosmetically challenged by their huge impact bumpers that ruin the pure Pininfarina lines.
