Vehicle Detail

1965 Porsche 356c This is a two owner, documented car that has had a total restoration in 2011. Every part of this car has been touched and brought up to outstanding levels. The restoration included a complete rebuild of the engine that included larger cylinders which raised the total displacement to approximately 1720cc. This resulted in additional power and torque. The professional restoration is documented on a CD which will convey with the title. The steering wheel was upgraded to a wooden wheel with the original wheel kept of the next owner. Tim Herman (known 356c specialist) completed the restoration and did a valve adjustment in 2012. This car was originally bought by a California couple who traded in their VW Bug in 1965 for something they would love for years. The majority of the restoration was done in Arizona by a Porsche race mechanic. It was a high quality restoration that included the correct colors. Everything on this car works including the dash clock. The current owner added special jack points to make jacking easier and safer. He also added three point seatbelts and head rests that are the correct ones that were a factory option when the car was new. This car is a terrific driver and looks totally stock, but drives better than new due to the upgraded engine. The car has exhaust extensions, a spare tire with leather retaining strap and a modern jack to use with upgraded custom jacking points. This car is sure to win a lot of attention at any Porsche event it enters. The interior vendor was Autos International who is known for outstanding materials and workmanship. This 356c does not smoke or drip oil and could be driven across the country if the new owner so chooses. A certificate of Authenticity will convey at the closing. It is a matching numbers car for both the engine and transmission. Every body panel and door is stamped correctly and the car has never had any rust. The bottom has been detailed and there has been about 3,200 miles on the car since the total restoration was completed. This is a very special car that will be appreciated by Porsche and Sport Car Enthusiasts for years to come. For a limited time it could be yours.
