Vehicle Detail
Mint 2005 Saleen Mustang with GT500 engine swap. I purchased this car in 2008 from the original owner with about 3500 miles on it. It had a Saleen supercharger tuned by JDM and a D&D T56 Viper Spec 6spd conversion with aluminum driveshaft also done by JDM in NJ. After driving the car for a year I wanted more power so I purchased a brand new Ford Racing GT500 engine complete with wiring harness, new GT500 ECU,GT500 dual fuel pumps, all new GT500 hoses, thermostat housing etc needed for the conversion. Also purchased during the conversion brand new was a Lethal Performance 700HP 2.9L Whipple supercharger kit which includes JLT intake, L&M throttle body, 72lb injectors, MAF system,SCT3 Programmer with John Lund 93 octane tune. At the same time I purchased the following items new to go with the conversion.... Innovaters West 10% Crank Pulley,1 7/8" Kooks Stainless headers with Catted X exhaust, C&R/Shelby heavy duty aluminum radiator, C&R/Shelby twin fan heavy duty aftercooler, Meiziere heavy duty coolant pump, Reische 170* Thermostat, Thumper Tensioner, Spec P- trim twin disk clutch with billet aluminum flywheel, Moser 31 spline axle's with heavy studs, Detroit Tru Trac rearend, 3.73 gears, Kenne Bell Boost a Pump, Moroso Coolant Tanks. The conversion was professionally done and a GT500 K-member was used with 1/2" lowered billet motor mounts. The car already had Racecraft suspension installed at Saleen and I added brand new Saleen/BMR boxed lower control arms with BMR relocation brackets, BMR adjustable upper control arm and bracket, Saleen heavy duty rear anti roll bar from Saleen Watts Link kit, Fays 2 Watts Link with Ford Motorsports low profile aluminum rearend support cover. The car has a Saleen vented aluminum SC hood, Saleen SC wing, Saleen HID headlights,Chrome Staggered Saleen 9" & 10" 7 spoke wheel option, Saleen 14" brake kit with braided lines in front ,black GT500 rear calipers with matching powerslot rear rotors, braided steel clutch line, aftermarket catch can's, Innovative wide band with matching boost guage installed in Roush vent adapters. I removed the boost guage from the Saleen pod and installed a Saleen water temp guage to monitor aftercooler water temp, the other guage in the Saleen pod is the factory IAT guage which is functional. The interior is in mint condition, features the "My Color Guages" and there is quite a bit of polished billet in the interior, a rare Saleen shifter bezel, 2008 Mustang GT Shaker 500 CD with chrome knobs, Black Saleen 302 mats along with the factory installed Saleen gray mats,Saleen rear subwoofer, Billet engine caps,281 Motorsports lower mesh grill to protect the aftercooler "not shown in pics but is now installed", Agent 47 retro mirrors, new Motorcraft battery, fresh oil change, Dot 5 brake and clutch fluid and probably more I'm forgetting. This is a real Saleen Mustang #596 with 8500 miles on it, not a clone. I have put about 500 miles on it since the conversion and the car performs awesome. It drives like a stocker until you unleash it and then it's a monster.Everything works like factory including A/C, no engine codes or problems. The car has never been damaged, always been garaged by me and the first owner, no dings, dents etc. One very small 1/4" scratch on driver's side fender that was there when I purchased the car but I can't get it to show up in a pic. Wheels are perfect with no curbing or rash, tires are excellent. This car has never been raced or abused, it's just been a toy for a 48 year old gear head. I have alot of $$$ and time building this car and hate to see it go but I'm relocating in the near future and probably won't have room to store the car where I'm going. I own the car free and clear, no liens, title in hand.
