The Best Deals on Classic Wheels! This is a really neat 1984 Porsche 944 that can be driven on the road or taken to the track. Think, fun, fast, and inexpensive! The factory horsepower for this car was a meak 150hp, but we think this one had some trick work done to it as it pulls extremely strong and feels more like 175-190hp which would bring it closer to the factory power of a 944 S2. The engine, transmission, brakes, and overall mechanical condition is very good. The car starts immediately, idles nicely, revs nicely, the clutch engages as it should, all 5 forward gears work well as does reverse. The car has an aftermarket exhaust and cold air intake from K&N. These two are popular modifications and definitely add to the horsepower and ability of this very nimble and enjoyable sports car. The interior, dash (replaced with no cracks), rugs, seats (front and back), headliner, and overall interior condition is very good with no rips, tears, or stretching. The drivers side seat has minor wear on the bolster from getting in and out of the car. It looks to us as if the seats have been either replaced or recovered as they are in very good condition. The undercarriage of this 944 is very good to excellent with no rust spots, no replacement panels, and no rocker rust of any kind. The paint is good, with some expected chips, dings, and a few minor spots that could use a touch up (see the pictures). Overall this is a good 944 with a low entry point cost for a new enthusiast.
