DescriptionAt The Sell It Now Store, we sell a number of cars and trucks. You are looking at a 2000 VW Beetle with low miles when you consider the year. This car is a 124,000 original mile survivor and is one of the cleaner cars we have had for sale. The condition is very nice for the age and the best part is there is no rust. It is pretty much as stock as you will find, but does have a few minor issues (see below). This came originally from an Illinois owner that had this car for a long time. It did have an issue with the engine which was professionally replaced a few months back with a pre-owned engine with 75,000 miles. We did notice that the check engine light is on, and the coolant light stays on until the car warms up. It runs and drives extremely well aside from the two lights and we have no way to find what code it is throwing.The car stops, brakes and drives as it should. The air conditioning does not work. It may be as simple as a recharge or may need more work. It is a fun car to drive and very tight. The paint appears to be original and is in great shape. A quick buff and wax and this car would look like new. Look how clean the jambs are as far as any rust issues. We are amazed that the car and interior really show well, especially for the age. The interior is also nice, but as you will find with many of these, the plastic dash pieces are made fairly inexpensively. We did notice that the shifter cover pops off at times. Note the manuals, etc are also present. This would make a great addition for the VW enthusiast that wants a daily driver. Best of all, there is no reserve.
